Join the FMBC for this yearly epic poker ride to round out the season. $50 gets you a fun day of riding as much as you can/want, dinner, a beer, what will soon-to-be-coveted High Roller mug and good times!

The 2018 High Roller Route is:

 

·       Start downtown at the Royal, head to the barn and do Hyperventilation – Today’s Special, back on Snoop Lion, down Roots past the Montane Hut, down to Montane and then ride out the Montane loop clockwise (two stickers)

 

·       When you finish Montane, head to Ridgemont, Cemetery By-Pass, Kiddy-Up, Queen-V and Eco-Terrorist and Kid’s Stuff (one sticker)

 

·       When you are done Kid’s Stuff, you’ll do all 4 Kushes (***If you aren't a fan of the Kushes or you just want to get gnarly, you can do Big $ instead - it will link in really nicely with this route and you'll get the same stickers! If you do this, you are responsible for your own safety – Big$ is a challenging up and very steep, technical and exposed down – please be sure you can handle it).

 

·       When you finish the 4 Kushes (or Big $ as the case may be) you’ll cruise Coal Discovery Trail back to town (one sticker).

 

·       Next, you’ll cross the West Fernie bridge and head up Phat Bastard, up Mushroom Head (one sticker) and then up Lactic Ridge, up Mocasassin, across the Stupid Traverse and then down S-Bomb and Brokeback (one sticker) all the way to the Lazy Lizard Connector, where you will take a Left and ride that all the way to the start of Stove

 

·       Bonus: Up Stove down Eric’s Trip and Mic Mac Trail. (one sticker)

 

·       Back to the Fernie Distillery to check in get your swag and a complimentary age appropriate drink! Thanks Fernie Distillery! You guys rock! (one sticker)

 

The Low Roller Route is:

 

·       Montane loop clockwise (one sticker)

 

·       When you finish Montane, head to Ridgemont, Cemetery By-Pass, Kiddy-Up, Queen-V and Eco-Terrorist and Kid’s Stuff (one sticker)

 

·       When you are done Kid’s Stuff, you’ll do the first 2 Kushes, kick out onto TR3 and then then you’ll cruise Coal Discovery Trail back to town (one sticker).

 

  • Cross the West Fernie bridge and head up Phat Bastard, then up and over Mushroom Head (one sticker) and then down Dem Bones.

 

  • BONUS: up Stove and down Eric’s Trip and Mic Mac Trail (one sticker)

Schedule- September 29, 2018

 

8:00 am – 9:00 am: check in at the Royal to receive your official FMBC poker card

 

9:00 am – 5:00 pm: Ride, ride, ride!

 

5:30 p.m. - ?: After-party at the Royal with delicious dinner provided by Infinitea.  Receive your stainless steel High Roller reusable cup.  Swag, draw prizes and good times. Dinner is at approximately 6:00 pm, but you can arrive for your 1 free beer and your poker hand anytime after 5:30 pm.  

 

Stamps and Poker

 

Collect stickers at the stickers stations along the route.  Collect them all or as few as you want; it’s up to you and what you want to ride!  Each sticker will represent a card in your poker hand, which you will be dealt upon arrival at the Royal for the after party. 

 

Stickers will be in the the following locations:

·       Uprooted / Hyper Donation Bin

·       Top of Today’s Special

·       Kid’s Stuff

·       On Coal Disco

·       Top of Mushroomhead

·       Top of S-Bomb

·       Eric’s Trip.

·       Fernie Distillery  check in

The 3 best poker hands get first choice of prizes, everyone else’s sticker card will go in for a draw for the prizes. 

 

Warnings

 

·       If you or your riding partner are injured and need help getting out call 911 > RCMP > make sure you state “wilderness emergency – search & rescue needed” and describe your location.

 

·       This is a fun ride. It is not a race. There is no requirement to do the entire route. If you do not check in at the Royal upon completion, please call or text (250) 423-0768 and let us know, otherwise we will be worried.
